Serenity By The Sea - Beach House

Beautiful location right on the beach. Everything we needed was close by and easy to find. I believe this will be our new standard for vacations.

We enjoyed our weeks stay. We would welcome staying again because of the location and the view.. The unit itself was outdated.. needs new king mattress and pillows and window blinds, among other things. The outdoor deck railings need replacing. Upon arriving, found a dead rat in the middle of the garage. In the kitchen, a live palmetto bug and tiny ants.

We had a great time over a holiday weekend staying at the house. Lots of fun activities including the swimming pool, beach, boating, shopping. The house was unique and had a lot of fun island features. Workable kitchen. Washer and dryer didn’t work well. Bathrooms were clean and acceptable. If you have problems going up or down stairs this will be a challenging stay, all bedrooms are on the 2nd and 3rd floors and both full bathrooms are on the 2nd floor. Had a great 3rd floor loft with a very of the beach. They have more amenities than they list including a crib, beach towels, baby gates, high chair, beach chairs. We brought a lot of things we didn’t have to because it wasn’t listed and the host was slow to respond. This is a town house so the pool is shared with the attached unit. We had great neighbors but it could play out differently. Two great beach bar restaurants in walking distance. Overall a great stay, would definitely go back!

We had a wonderful time. You simply can't beat the location and access to a pool ON the beach. The house decor is very dated, but it's clean and cozy. The view from the master bedroom is priceless! If you want a renovated, open plan, fancy beach house, this isn't that, but it is perfect for an awesome, affordable beach vacation. We loved it!

This location is AMAZING!!!! You’re literally 10 feet from the edge of the ocean. The beach is beyond perfect and there was a great sandbar full of shells and seal life!! The house has tons of fun beach and pool toys and the kitchen has everything you’d need to actually cook a meal. The style of the house is mid-90s beachy-casual but to be honest with kids it’s way better than sleek new furniture.

We went in May. The pool is in the shade (need to clean pine needles 2x a day) and thus quite cool. The beach is right there! The chairs on the covered deck are all high which makes a good view, but hard on your knees. There are only 2 adarondack chairs for this property, but 6 for the adjacent one. On the 2nd floor there are 2 bedrooms. One without windows. The other has a great view. There are 2 sets of stairs for the 3rd floor. The Spiral one goes through a sitting room and the long one throught the large bedroom. Both bathrooms are on the 2nd floor with a 1/2 bath on the 1st floor. Enjoyed our stay. It worked for us and we would return again. Clean, convenient, and on the beach. There is a soft spot at the top of th spiral staircase that needs replaced before someone falls through...

Loved the location. Not too touristy. Beach not too busy. If you get some chairs from the garage and put them out early, others will put theirs elsewhere and maintain your view of the beach. Be careful at the top of the spiral stairs as the sub-floor is caving in. Other than that - great stay.

The place was as described. The layout is a little awkward, but unique and cool as well. You cannot beat the 40 yards walk to the beach. We caught a lot of fish from the surf and made blackened fish tacos using the BBQ grill provided. I would stay again for sure.

You will not find a beach house with a better location than this one. Sunset Beach is a beautiful, quiet strip of beach. It is conveniently located just a 5 minute walk down the beach from restaurants and bars. The house itself has a few quirks. The downstairs has a great open flow of kitchen, dining, and living space. The views from inside the house out to the beach are amazing! The non-working stove discussed in other reviews has been replaced. The two upper floors are definitely unique. There is no privacy for two of the three bedrooms. You must walk through them to get to the third floor spaces. The only bedroom that has a door and privacy is the queen bedroom on the second floor. But it has no window and is a dark cave. The house is a townhouse and shares the pool and patio space with the unit next door. We unfortunately had a family that brought 6 college age kids with the next to us during Spring Break week. They trashed the beach and pool area daily. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

The location made this vacation everything we expected! We had small children and the trek to the beach and back was a delight and able to be done all day, every day! It took most of the work out of traveling to the beach with children, which is exactly what we were looking for. Would highly recommend!

I searched long and hard for the right place. Beach steps away and pool access. We got both. We were in the pool and the beach close to a dozen times per day because both so close. Three floors. Living area, second floor with main bedrooms and a quiet couch area. Third floor with twin beds (kids loved it) and an entertainment area. Everything works, beds and pillows are comfy, clean and as represented. Is it the nicest looking home on the block? No, but it is still perfect. Furniture needs a tiny upgrade but it didn't bother us. Wifi access and both owners and management are quick with their replies. We'll definitely be back. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Our family stayed here for a week-long beach holiday, and what really made it special was the direct beach access and the full suite of toys, appliances, and gear. My 2 year old was able to play with beach toys, we had ample beach chairs, and even boogie boards. The beds were comfy and overall we had a great stay. Joanne was easy to communicate with. The room layout was a little challenging for our large group because you had to go through certain rooms to get to others, leaving less privacy. The decor was definitely a bit dated given the price, but it didn't really hinder our enjoyment. Showers and AC all worked great. Would definitely stay again.

We enjoyed every minute of our stay in Treasure Island! The home was just perfect for our family. *4 adults & 3 children (8,5 & 3) It’s not everywhere you can have a pool & beach within a stones throw! Gorgeous sunsets from the comfortable deck, plenty of beach toys to entertain the kids & comfortable chairs for the adults. This home literally has everything you need & more! We cooked our own breakfast/lunch, then had most dinners delivered (there is a notebook with many menus to choose from), & a Publix grocery just down the street. We had a lovey dinner at Middle Grounds Grill, ask for Greg, he was fantastic & the seafood/steaks were top notch! Perfectly clean, comfortable spot with a quiet beach for relaxing. Escape the tourist traps & stay here for a true vacation! We are already looking forward to our next visit! Thank you Joanne for being a lovely host & thank you to the housekeepers (2 sisters that were so wonderful), a “treasure” of a place!

The condo was very large and could sleep 8-10 people. It was very comfortable & clean. It had everything we needed including beach chairs & beach toys. The beach is beautiful with large trees. The sunsets were very beautiful. We plan to stay there again.

Our family travels to St. Petersburg 2 times a year and this was by far one of our favorite places to stay! It had everything we needed and more. We loved that we could walk out our back door to the white sand beaches or cool off in the pool. The house had plenty of room and was comfortable and made for a relaxing family vacation. The owners were very nice too! We will be back! Highly recommend this home!

We just spent a week in this amazing beach home! Everything we needed was supplied for us! Everything in the house worked fantastic! It is a very spacious home with a view to die for! Joanne greeted us upon arrival and was so welcoming. Throughout the whole experience of renting to questions during the week she was very responsive. LOVED this place and would recommend to anyone interested in a fantastic beach home. We will definitely return.

The manager, Joanne, was tremendously responsive. The beach house was very clean, appliances and cookware provided all our needs for a family of five adults. PLENTY of spaces for all of us who worked remotely and a surprisingly fast wifi. Excellent location just footsteps from the beach and a sense of privacy as the beach was never occupied by others. The house was beautiful, the most amazing views of the beach. It was like being on our own private little island. Everything you need is in the home and Suzann is awesome , we had the privilege of meeting her and she was always responsive to calls and texts. . We found shells, and saw dolphins every day. The house was perfect (everyone could have their own space) and Suzann was amazing to work with. She answered all of our questions in a fast and accurate manner. She went out of her way to make this vacation possible. I felt completely confident that she would take care of any problems that may have arisen (which thankfully didn’t happen). The property was excellent! We loved the location; the beach was never crowded. The photos were very accurate. The kids loved the spiral staircase to their room. I loved that the master bedroom was located with the gulf view. I would definitely recommend this property to friends and family. I would avoid this property for anyone that has trouble with stairs. Hope to come back again. There aren't many places where you feel like you have the beach to yourselves.

We stayed at this townhouse for 7 relaxing days with our family of five. When we checked in, Suzanne had flowers and a bottle of wine waiting for us. What a wonderful gesture. The house had loads of room and everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Nothing beats sitting on the porch watching the waves come into shore-and spotting the occasional dolphin. What fun to be able to use the pool and walk just a few steps to take a swim in the ocean. After 24 hours of being back home, I realized that I was missing two pieces of priceless jewelry. I had a feeling that I had left them in the townhouse. I emailed Suzanne and she worked tirelessly to locate them both for me. Her customer service was beyond excellent. Thank you Suzanne for being the perfect host!

This place is awesome, and I'm a fairly picky person. You can't beat the location. The beach is right outside the door. There is plenty of room in the house. We are a family of 5 and I felt like we could have had 5 more people stay with us and still be comfortable. Everything was great. The pool is ok. We didn't really use it because my kids just wanted to swim in the ocean. I would bring some beach toys if you have kids. There were plenty of chairs but no toys. Not a complaint, just giving everyone a heads up. The owners are friendly and easy to reach. We are definitely planning on coming back!

This beach townhouse was very comfortable and very clean. We loved the the fresh flowers and the bottle of wine that welcomed us! This was a family vacation, 4 adults and 3 kids- children ages 9, 5, & 2 1/2. The stairs was a bit of a concern for me. Our little one is adventurous and definitely had to be watched closely. Also be-aware that you'll need to carry your luggage up the stairs since the bedrooms are on the 2nd and 3rd floors. You will get a nice leg work out. Having a pool right off of the patio balcony was a big hit. Our kids and the kids in the townhouse next door became best friends for the week that they even exchanged addresses to stay in touch. In-Spite of the rainy week, we had a fabulous family vacation. We were so close to the shoreline that it we were able to take any opportunity to go out to the beach, but when the dark clouds came we were able to get back inside before the skies opened up. And when we had to be inside we loved having so many comfy locations to have time away from one another to read or nap. The owner was quick to respond and a pleasure to work with. We have already recommended this beach house to our family & friends.... we would love to vacation here again!

My Wife and two teenage boys came down this pasted July for a week and truly enjoyed our stay. Waking up every morning to the sound of the ocean, eating lunch on the covered lanai, enjoying the pool and the ocean, morning walks on the beach, to me this is the perfect relaxing vacation. This is our first time renting a house typically we have rented condos, I can't tell you how nice it is to have the privacy of a house not to mention having a garage to park in so you car is not 130 degrees when you get in it. We can't wait to come back next year! Thank you for sharing your home with us.

We had a great time. The place was wonderful. The beach is beautiful and we even found a huge starfish. The shade around the pool was great for an afternoon break from the sun. My daughters said we should stay for 2 weeks! Treasure island is beautiful and is convenient to go to the Aquarium, Zoo and easy boat rentals. The house has all you need from the kitchen to beach towels and chairs. Suzann is great to work with and very responsive. Thank you for sharing your beach house with us. We plan a return visit. Beautiful setting and charming, artsy decor. Pool was perfect for water aerobics and there were may shady places to sit and look at the Gulf. The sunsets are better then Mallory Square in Key West. A lovely property for a beach week. Suzann was the "hostess with the most-est." She is totally helpful and answered all questions.

My family and I returned for a second year in a row to this beautiful beach house. We loved it so much last year that we couldn't wait to come again! One of the days we were there we saw dolphins several times throughout the day! My son and I look for sand dollars and other beautiful shells as this is a great beach to find treasures on. We love that there are supplies of beach towels, toys, chairs and beach umbrellas- saves a lot of money. My kids (age 11 & 13) could come and go from the house to the pool to the beach as much as they wanted - while I enjoyed relaxing at the beach. To save money we shop at the Publix that is five minutes away and cook in/grill most of our meals. Our favorite night out starts out at Middle Grounds Restaurant (5 minutes away) and then we head mini-golfing at Smugglers Cove (10-15 minutes away). I would recommend this place without hesitation. Suzann and her husband are very responsive and really want to make this a dream vacation for you and your family!!

Everything was great! It was wonderful to hear the waves during breakfast and just walk to the beach afterwards. The home was perfect for our family vacation –there was enough space for the six of us to dine together, but then have separate quarters for that wind down time. Just could not beat the location, nothing beats being right on the water.

The Pictures could never give the proper justice to the fabulous home on the beach! It is a tranquil, romantic setting with all the options to be a magnificent entertainment spot.. We chose the romantic setting with natures beautiful background. Sunset Beach was truly that as we saw it set many nights. All kitchen, pool, and TV, and other electronics worked to perfection. My family of four along with my parents stayed for 10 days. Although the weather wasn't great we still had a good time! The house is located on the beach which was my number one priority when it came to picking a home. This beach was great! My 4 & 6 year olds loved it. Shells galore and sand to dig and play in. We enjoyed walks on the beach and were lucky enough to be there during a sand sculpture event that was taking place. My husband and dad found a golf course just 20 minutes away and played almost everyday. We also enjoyed the Parasailing and a fishing trip that went out of John's Pass Village. There wasn't much in the way of walking distance but we had a car and took some drives up the coast. We hope to visit again someday when we can count on the weather being nice and warm! Suzann was wonderful to work with and the house was immaculate!

this house was shared with my 2 girls (10+18), my brother and wife (with no kids) and myself. there was more than enough room, privacy, and things to keep everyone occupied and having fun all day. down to the toys in the garage everything was right at our fingertips.. could not have asked for anything more. the pool was amazing the yard was private the beach was beautiful. the house was in perfect condition. it was breathtaking and indescribable. thankyou so much! trip of a lifetime!

have just spent the most wonderful week at the Sunset Beach house. The accommodations are warm and welcoming. This is our second time renting at this location and I just have to say it was fabulous. We all enjoyed the pool, lazing in the hammock, then walking to the beach which is steps away. Everyday we enjoyed watching the dolphin show in the gulf of Mexico as we sat on the back porch. The evening sunsets were spectacular as we sipped our wine and let the waves bathe our feet. We all agreed that for us this would be an annual vacation.

I'm one of those people that's always skeptical when trying out a new home through VRBO. I'm typically pretty hard to please and been misled by some photographs in the past. Our stay at this home was probably the best experience we've ever had through VRBO. The house is amazing and the layout is perfect for a beach home. Everything inside the home was spotless and very well maintained. The addition of a swimming pool right on the beach was really a nice treat. The beach and gulf really are only a few steps from the deck overlooking the water. It was nice to spend some time in the ocean then have a short stroll back to the house for a quick outdoor shower and a jump in the pool. The beach was quiet and relaxing and a short 10 minute walk up the beach you have a nice little beach bar and restaurant (Caddys). The owners were excellent communicators and really made the process very easy. I highly recommend it if you have plans to visit Treasure Island or Sunset Beach that you give first consideration for this wonderful property. I can't wait to go back there again soon

My wife and I stayed one week. It was great to relax on the balcony with a bottle of wine at sunset. Everything was very private. The beach is very peaceful and not crowded like the public beaches in the area. I felt like it was our own home. So relaxing! The Amazing Weather was lovely every day in October. It only rained one day for a little while in the afternoon. The property was very clean and organized. It had everything we needed. I walked on the beach, swam and relaxed every day. It was a perfect location, I prefer to avoid densely crowded beaches. It was like being on a private, tropical island, the polar opposite of spring break time in Cancun! It was beautifully decorated and conveniently close to shopping and restaurants. Can't wait to come back next year

My family stayed at this home the last week of September 2014. The home has a great location for peace and quiet, yet is very close to shopping and attractions. We drove to Clearwater one day to see Hope and Winter. It was a very nice drive and only about 30-40 minutes. We were able to see the attractions and return in time to spend the afternoon at the beach. The home has a great living space with the kitchen, dining room, and family room all in one, with a really nice half bath on the same floor. The kitchen was great for cooking. I prefer a gas stove, and this one has a good one. We spent most of our time on the deck that is set up for dining and relaxing. Most meals were enjoyed outdoors and allowed for the fabulous sunset views. The bedrooms are situated so that each person has private space. The bathrooms were well-appointed with high class beach themes. The beds were very comfortable to sleep in. The beach access is immediate! We have stayed all up and down the Florida coast, but never in a home. I would prefer we never stay in a condo again! The beach was right there, making it easy to pack supplies back and forth, run to the house when you wanted to, and just enjoy the ocean. When we stayed, the water was perfect, and very clear. I love sea shells, and this is the first time I have been able to find so many beautiful shells of a great size. We wondered if the tourism committee sprinkled shells every night to make sure you found plenty! My family went deep-sea fishing one day, and we had the best grouper and snapper, cooked right in the home! I would definitely recommend this rental to anyone who is tired of the Panama City, Daytona-type atmosphere. There are plenty of activities to do if you want - parasailing, fishing, snorkeling - or, if you are like me, it has a great beach to relax and read on.

Returned from a fabulous stay at this lovely villa. It is a great place for children and family gatherings. The home has a number of important highlights. It is very nicely decorated in a tasteful high end beach decor. It is well equipped to host, with a professional gas grill outdoors for cooking out. There is a nice porch, deck, pool, and picnic bench for eating and lounging. The beds are comfortable. A nice layout of three bedroom areas to afford privacy to the master suite and also allow young kids to sleep upstairs in the loft side by side or in the guest bedroom. The home utilizes space vertically very well, with separate areas that include an entertainment center with VCR. Bathrooms are immaculate and maintain the beach decor very tastefully. Air conditioning, all appliances and a plethora of towels and linens were available and gave a true sense of a home rather than a rental property. Some other observations: The beach is beautiful, wide, and accesses a quiet stretch of the Gulf immediately that seems protected by a sand bar. It is shallow for quite some distance, and surf was very manageable for swimming for our 3,6,9 year olds. The home is located on a smaller out jutting of land off the main road to St Pete Beach. This seems to keep the beach very quiet as it only serves villas to the south. It affords a very convenient location for stores/ shopping, while keeping the beach very open. Cannot say enough about the beach access to the friendly Gulf stretch. Kids are very comfortable in the water here. Didn't see a single jellyfish on the water at the home either, where we saw dozens south on St Pete's beach. Maybe just lucky? Pool makes a nice go-between for the ocean and villa. No outdoor shower but hoses to wash sand are available. I have stayed in many places and hotels, and for the location, quality of beach home, communication from the owner, the value of this property is very high. Recommend for family comfort and Gulf access. Note that: Stairs to loft would be steep for infants/ some young toddlers. Thanks for a great trip! CS from Dallas

Beautiful home with all of the amenities! Our new favorite vacation destination. We look forward to returning again in 2015. This home has everything; it is the perfect beach location. The home is right on the beach with adequate shade. The pool is a nice option. We could sit on the back porch and watch the kids swim while enjoying the beautiful ocean view. Suzann has the home very well equipped. We won't need to pack nearly as much next year. There are beach toys, towels, chairs, umbrella, and much more. The house has been well maintained and was very clean. It is located on a quiet street with restaurants and shopping near by. We look forward to our next visit!

y colleagues and I recently stayed at this property for a week while we attended a conference in St Pete Beach. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay there, the only problem being that the superior location of our house compared to the conference venue made it very difficult to motive ourselves to do any work! The house is situated at a beautiful part of the Treasure Island beach. The short path to the beach is very natural as there are a lot of plants and trees growing, and the same applies to the neighbourhood. Thus the beach feels much less developed than many other places (in particular St Pete) and it also enhances the privacy when out on the porch/pool area or in the garden. Two nights during our stay we had lovely BBQs out back and we spent a lot of time relaxing there. The house itself is decorated tastefully. It is very spacious and equipped with everything you could possibly need (including a very fast internet connection which actually matters a lot when you're there on a work trip!). It has an interesting layout which we felt adds to its charm. It is probably most ideally suited for families or groups of close friends.

Everything exceeded our expectations! I can’t wait to come back. You really cannot imagine a better location, 25 minutes from TIA airport. Busch Gardens is a must see for kids. The Beachfront is very scenic. Sunsets over the ocean were spectacular. The white sandy beach right out the back door. We were so close to the beach that the kids could safely go back and forth to the house and we could watch them from our chairs on the back deck. The townhouse is as clean as Suzann promised, nicely furnished and has three floors. There was plenty of room, the TV room on the top floor was so enjoyable for the children at time it was difficult to get the kids to the beach. We cooked in and made good use of the kitchen and grill. All amenities (hair dryer, pool/beach toys, pool towels) were provided. The house is fully loaded with all the imaginable amenities to make your stay comfortable. The pictures on the website do not do it justice, the house looks even better in person! We found our stay to be memorable and will most surely return next year. The owner Suzann was very sweet and accommodating.

My two kids (10 &12), husband, mother and I stayed her for a week and plan to come back next year. The townhouse is clean, nicely furnished and has three floors. There was plenty of room for all of us and definitely room for more people. We mostly cooked in and made good use of the kitchen and grill. The owners purchased and set up a new grill right away when I told them the back burner wasn't turning on. We did not use the pool much as it was shaded over most of the day, but with the gorgeous ocean steps away this was not a problem. My kids and I played in the waves and searched for amazing shells everyday on the beautiful beach. We were so close to the beach that the kids could safely go back and forth to the house and we could watch them from our beach chairs. Something I didn't realize originally when I chose the property was that there is an attached townhouse and they share the pool with you. We had lovely neighbors and all of us preferred the beach so sharing was not an issue. There are plenty of beach towels and some chairs and sand toys available for your use. There is a fun mini golf course about 15 minutes away and lots of nearby (short drive) restaurants. We love Middle Grounds Grill which is about a 5 minute drive. Caddy's on the beach is a quick walk and we had delicious cinnamon bun pancakes there one morning for breakfast. Suzann and her husband were very attentive, making our stay great and we appreciated that.

We had a lovely week staying in Suzann's beautiful townhome. We stayed during spring break 2014, the area never felt over crowded and we had our private space on the beach...which is right out your door! The sand is full of shells and the beach well groomed. The house has everything you need in the kitchen along with plenty of towels, beach chairs, sand toys. We had an issue with one of the toilets, I just called Suzann and it was fixed that day. Very responsive and caring home owners. The local area has many great restaurants to choose from and Caddy's is a very informal, fun place just a short walk down the beach (live music, eclectic crowd). We took the ferry from Fort de Soto to Egmont Key...would highly recommend! We also visited the Big Cat Sanctuary in Tampa...my kids loved this as well. This is a great place to relax, spread out and enjoy the beach!

The Deluxe Beachfront Townhome is a very scenic place to stay. Sunsets over the ocean were spectacular. The white sandy beach right out the back door was not crowded with tourists. It is a short bike ride to great restaurants and shopping. The home was very clean and nicely furnished. There was more than enough for us four ladies and the 4 yr old and 1 yr old boys. The beds were very comfortable. We were a little concerned about all the stairs, but the boys were cautious about them and we ladies were able to get some good exercise. Our family, including 2 children ages 3 and 5, was thrilled to again stay at Suzann's beautiful and perfect beach home. Everything about this home is exactly as described...pool outside the backdoor, and ocean/beach just steps beyond that. We appreciated having all amenities (hair dryer, pool/beach toys, pool towels) provided, as it meant less we needed to pack or buy. I really cannot imagine a better location...25 minutes from a major airport and fun things to do in Tampa (Busch Gardens was a hit again with our kids), 5 minute drive to the grocery store and many great restaurants, and 10 minute drive to Starbucks. And once at the house, it felt like a far-away paradise! Thank you, thank you!

The house is fully loaded with all the imaginable amenities to make your stay comfortable. We found the home to be very clean and tastefully decorated. We had the marvelous week. This house is on the beach and the swimming pool was fantastic. My grandaughters had never been to the beach and they were in heaven. The accommodations are wonderful so much room for everyone to spread out and do their own thing This house has everything you could want including beach chairs, towels toys etc. I highly recommend this house to anyone. I have stayed in Treasure Island several times and this is the best. We went to Fort Desoto which is just gorgeous and spent the day and cooked out. We could not have been more pleased with our experience as a first-time VRBO renter. This property is exactly as it appears in the pictures. The decor is lovely and the house is fully equipped with everything you need for a week's stay. Having living space on all three floors allowed us to spread out and pursue our own quiet time activities with no bickering. But the best feature of this property is having the gulf and Treasure Island beach in your backyard. The views from the house are fabulous, and the beach itself is lovely. Tampa is a great family destination with lots to do - Busch Gardens, MOSI, baseball and more. I will definitely be recommending this property to family and friends.

We have rented a lot of homes via VRBO and I have to say, as a family we have really high expectations for our travel. This SURPASSED every vacation we have been on. From the second we contacted Suzann at Sunset Beach, her communication was flawless, quick and responsive. No matter what question was asked, there was a quick and easy answer. Getting to the home was a quick drive from the airport, and the home was just as described. This was the perfect home for our family of four (kids ages 3 and 4) with super easy beach access, pool, and close to town for take out. We walked out on our first morning with dolphins swimming right in front of the house, and the way the tide moved throughout the day, we could travel very far out with water only up to our knees which was great for the kids. Never once did I feel the water was dangerous to play in and it made for the perfect family getaway allowing mom and dad to sit and relax in the chairs without worry our kids were going to get swept by a wave. We walked the beach (appropriately named Sunset beach) every night, collecting sea shells and making memories, and played cards on the deck every night while the kids slept right inside the house. I would recommend this house to anyone traveling to Sunset Beach and Treasure Island area! We also have a great photographer that met us at the house and photographed our family right on the beach so we didn't have to go anywhere. (Super convenient and reasonable!) As far as local spots, we highly recommend Caddy's On The Beach which is probably about a 10 minute walk from the house via beach or a 2 minute drive. If you order take out, it is very easy to pull in and get out. On our last day at the house we checked out in the morning but had a later afternoon flight so we took the kids down to St. Johns Pass and went out on the Pirate Ship. HIGHLY recommend. The kids were entertained the entire time by the pirates on board, and it was a great little family excursion out in the beautiful bay. Thanks Suzann for the beautiful stay. We can't WAIT to come back!

We spent an absolutely wonderful week at the beach house. This is a residential area quiet and peaceful but very close to all the normal beach activities. So many private areas to get away. Our teenagers loved the media room tucked upstairs out of the way. Master bedroom is huge and you can hear the waves crashing as you sleep. The beach was right out our back door. The pool was perfect for the kids to play and swim after a long hot day at the beach. You can watch the kids in the pool and see the dolphins playing in the gulf at the same time. Very clean and safe location! Once we went food shopping there was never any reason to leave and go anywhere, everything we needed was right at our fingertips. Grocery (bountiful new Public's market), restaurants, beach bars close by. Walking distance to a really fun outdoor beach bar and grill. Kids can play in the sand, live music, great food. However when we did go exploring there was Johns Pass several more good restaurants (about 2 miles north). The owners have everything for the beach waiting for you...towels umbrella, chairs, skim board, buckets, boogie boards, noodles, also a hammock! The bathrooms are beautiful and the new kitchen is set up perfectly! Without hesitation we would recommend this house. The owner was very easy to work with. We absolutely loved staying in this beautiful beach home and will definitely stay again!

The beach house was exactly as advertised and more. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our 8 days on the beach. It is well located to shopping and restaurants, on a quiet section of the beach and has all the amenities of home. It is very tastefully decorated and the owners responded immediately to any questions we had. This house was absolutely perfect for our extended family vacation! We had 5 adults and a 6 year old child. We would return in a minute! The layout of the house makes it easy for several people to be well accommodated and not feel cramped. Bedrooms:The master has an unbelievable view! There are steps going through the master leading to the upstairs. Queen bedroom was very private. Pull out couch area was a little tight, so we opted to convert the media room into a bedroom by maneuvering the sectional couch around. This created another private sleeping space with a TV! The bedroom with twin beds overlooks the lower area where the pullout couch is located. Loft style. Bathrooms: Very clean! Plenty of towels/washcloths/hand towels waiting for you. Both bathrooms are on the level with master and queen bedrooms. Pool/Beach: Perfect! The view could not be any better! The owners have everything imaginable for the beach waiting for you...towels, umbrella, chairs, skim board, buckets, boogie boards, noodles....you name it! Very generous with sharing these items! Kitchen: Again, so generous! Tools galore! Even a blender and food processor! Some spices, condiments, foil and wrap were there for us to use. Again, very much appreciated. Location: Very clean and safe location! Grocery, restaurants, beach bars close by. Walking distance to a really fun outdoor beach bar and grill. Kids can play in the sand, live music, great food! Without hesitation we would recommend this house. The owner was very easy to work with. The only concern would be if a family member has trouble with steps. Besides that, feel confident booking this house!

Beautiful beach home with more then enough room for our family. Spending just a week was not long enough for me. The beach was practically right out our back door. The pool was perfect for the kids to play and swim after a long hot day at the beach. However when we did go exploring there was Saint Johns Pass we also ate at Sea Hags restaurant and it was very good. There is more then enough to do and explore around this area! We have rented many places over the years and this has to be the best! Home is immaculate (even the baseboards were clean!) with everything you need. Kitchen & baths beautifully updated. Suzann has decorated with a eclectic beach flair- so many personal touches. Home is roomy enough for a large family - gathering places hold a group- but so many private areas to get away. Teenagers loved the media room tucked between the lofts. Master bedroom is huge and you can hear the waves crashing. Back porch- oh my you can watch the kids in the pool and see the dolphins playing in the gulf and its shaded and the sea breeze kept it wonderfully cooled. This is the first time that we have used VRBO.com and rented a place vs. hotel...it was a wonderful first experience! We wanted a place on the beach and with a pool, but we did not want to stay in an apartment building atmosphere...could not have been more perfect. As we walked in the front door upon our arrival, the sun was just starting to set and the view from the deck is spectacular!!! The description is perfectly accurate: dolphins, beach, pool, clean house...actually, the house is much larger than it looks (There are additional sitting rooms and great nooks to hide if you are a kid!)! My kids loved the decor...fun and bright! Everything that we needed was there! Suzann is very helpful and incredibly accommodating...it was a wonderful trip. In fact, my child just informed me that she wanted to go back to Florida! We had a great experience with the home, the owner and the location. The little restaurant down on the beach (1-2 minute drive) was one of our favorite places to go...relaxed, good food and an incredible place to watch the sunset go down if you do not want to cook at the house, but still want to be close. Suzann, thank you for the wonderful experience. To quote my husband, we may never stay in a hotel again!

This place is the ULTIMATE beach experience! It was our second time staying here and we would live here permanently if we could do so. Suzann has tastefully decorated this spacious beach home, sparing no detail or expense, giving it a true lively, Key West "beachy" feel, and has thoughtfully provided every amenity you could ever want or need, right down to beach towels. A private path from your swimming pool leads to the sandy beach and Gulf of Mexico sunsets. The master bedroom overlooks the beach and has windows which open, allowing you to hear the sounds of the ocean as you fall asleep and awaken. An open staircase leads to a cozy, relaxing sitting room which overlooks the master bedroom. It just doesn't get better than this! One evening, we watched a Rays-Rangers baseball playoff game in the media room, which has a wonderfully comfortable wrap-around couch and great flat screen TV. Suzann is a wonderful owner, who provides owner contact information throughout the home, making her readily accessible for any questions. Brochures of local eating establishments, etc. are provided, making navigating the area easy. The owners couldn't be nicer or more hospitable. This place truly is the ultimate beach experience!

This is truly a perfect beach house for a family vacation. Everything is very organized and well laid out right from the start. Suzann is super to deal with and very prompt with her email responses answering all questions and concerns asked. The house is bigger than what it may seem in the pictures and everything is right at your fingertips. There was not one thing we ever said "oh I wish they had..." For young children, the house is perfect as the beach and pool are right there which makes running back into the house so quick and convient. This place is the best equiped rental out of the dozens that we have stayed at - everything from beach towels to blenders! The location is quiet, but close to all the action. The media room was perfect for that one rainy day. Pictures don't really show how the place is laid out - it is far bigger than you'd guess. Clean and shiny all the way, but it still had many personal touches that made it seem like a home. Suzann could not have been easier to deal with! The location is the best - the beach is literally right in the back yard and the house is located on a very quiet section of the beach - lots of privacy! My two small children would go back and forth all day pool and beach and it made it a stress free vacation, thus maximum enjoyment was achieved. This house and property was exactly as described. I cannot imagine a more perfect setting for a laid-back vacation for our family (children aged 11 months and 3 yrs). Having a private pool outside the back door and beach access just steps away made it possible for the rest of us to enjoy even when one child was inside napping. We really appreciated having all linens, kitchen necessities, high chair, and crib provided. The location is SO convenient--20 minutes away from airport, 3 minutes from Publix grocery store and Walgreens, and 5 minutes away from Starbucks. Suzann is a wonderful host and we had great communication with her.

This was our second time staying here and it was as delightful as the first. This home is so spacious, clean, well stocked and comfortable, it just doesn't get better than this! The way it's decorated makes you feel like you're in Key West. We have three small children who spent all day going from the beach (steps from the deck down a private path) to the pool (mostly shaded which can be a nice break from the sun). There is also a convenient outside shower when you're ready to rinse off. It rained one morning and the kids were thrilled to watch a movie in the media room which has the most comfortable wrap around couch and great flat screen. We stayed in the master where the bed is huge & view is unbeatable. Falling asleep and waking up to the ocean is second to none. There is owner contact information everywhere which is comforting with a great info book for restaurants, etc. The owners couldn't be nicer or more hospitable. If we could have a 'regular' vacation spot, this is it!

This was a great vacation property - it was extremely clean and very well stocked in a nice Key West/beach style right on the spacious soft sandy beach. Master bed was extremely comfortable. We really enjoyed the property and the owner was very easy and pleasant to deal with. The dolphins made regular appearances and the sunsets were great.

Our stay at Sunset Beach was to be back as Florida was before the condo boom! The grounds with unspoiled foliage is a wonderful spot to relax in the hammock and watch the spectacular sunset! The sand is white and clean and the water sparkling and pure. Very peaceful, yet we were only blocks away from great restuarants, grocery stores and shopping. The beach home is immaculately clean. It has been decorated with great taste to reflect the decor of a true Florida native beach house. Everything is well maintained, yet if there is a problem, the owners a readily available and happy to help. I grew up in Florida and have looked my whole life to find a place to stay that is like the beach was when I was a child. I finally found it at the Sunset Beach House! We will return again and again!

This is a beautiful home that you can tell the owners love. Very nicely decorated. You will love the table in the family room. Great view of the beach. Great for families. We could watch the kids from the porch. If they were at the beach and needed anything, they could go to the house. Also, the Media Room is awesome for the kids The beds are very comfortable, unusual for a rental. There is a Beach Bar 1/2 mile away that you can walk to that has outside seating (Caddy's) OK service. The area of the beach is very quiet and peaceful.Very clean and updated. My family will definatly return.

We were guests last week and had a wonderful time. It couldn't have been better. The shaded deck above the pool was a great place to cool off between beach outings. The fact that they are on the beach with a private pathway makes going and coming from the beach very convenient... it t is literally just a few steps from the pool deck to the Ocean. The beach and water were pristine, as was the house. It was the perfect combination of location and modern amenities; beach all day and a nice Media room with flat screen to relax with a movie at night. The owners were very welcoming and hospitable. Kitchen is well equipped and there is a large propane BBQ. We will be back if they aren't already booked the rest of the Summer!

my family were spellbound, so spacious one could have chill time to yourself at any hourof the day,.dolphins galore, mindblowing sunsets ,ah utopia for 2 weeks,we will be back to relax and unwind in this beach home of dreams . thanks suzanne for a marvelous vacation,will be in contact soon chris+tom
