Villa Madeira 609

The condo is older, but in very good condition. The location was great, and the weather was perfect. We especially enjoyed relaxing on the balcony, listening to the surf. We would definitely stay there again. Our only quibble was that there were no condiments or spices, which is unusual for a condo. Otherwise it was well equipped.

The positive is the view, the porch, and the pool! And for our family that made this trip work. However, the check in is ridiculous. Driving over 20 minutes out of your way to pick up and drop off the keys is ridiculous. Also, I knew the unit was dated. That never really bothers me. But the couch and love seat were just plain dirty and heavily stained. I ended up using sheets in the hall closet to cover the furniture so we could sit on them. Finally, I understand you don’t stock units with paper products, cleaning products and/or basic food supplies…. But not one solitary item was provided. Not even a sponge. No salt. Or ANY pantry item. Our grocery bill was ridiculously high. We have food allergies so cooking in is not something we can avoid! The host fees and service fees are always very high in my opinion. And I can not help to question what these services provide if not the very concerns I have listed.

The condo while somewhat dated was very clean and the location on the beach was everything one could ask for. Very walkable area to restaurants and John’s Pass. Downside was there were no beach towels or chairs in the unit.

overall it was great! The bathrooms could use some updating but were clean. I wish the owners would have decent beach chairs and an umbrella, we fly down so its an added expense to purchase these items every year. We love Madeira Beach and would stay here again.

We travel to the Clearwater/St Pete Beach area 2-3 times a year and this unit/complex is our new favorite. It meets all our requirements including being on the top floor, having a gulf front view from both the Master bedroom and living room, and having a washer and dryer in the unit. The balcony is spacious and the view is incredible. The complex is conveniently located to many of our favorites like Candy Kitchen,Slyce,and Publix. We can't wait to stay at this unit again!

This condo was very well suited for my family of 3 with a homey feeling décor. The kitchen was well stocked for our needs also. However, the bathtub in the master room was more like a small pool (not a jacuzzi) which was very slippery while taking a shower. But the bathroom didn't hinder our stay one bit. We still enjoyed walking and playing in the Gulf, finding seashells and sea glass, swimming in the pool, and lounging beach side on the sundeck every day, plus having breakfast and dinner at the local eateries. We did find one restaurant with fresh squeezed OJ. We went there 4 times out of the 9 days staying in Madeira. Also ended up finding out where they buy their oranges and went to the company to buy some for ourselves. They will be shipped in the next few weeks. I would definitely come back to this condo. Well worth the travel time in a car! We do not fly!

Did you visit any of the local fresh markets while you were here? If not, try those next time too for some good, local Florida fruit and veggies!! :-) Sorry if the bathroom set up was not conducive for you but we are just so glad everything else with your vacation was a success!!! Thanks for the post and we love seeing the Pros!!! We do apologize for the cons that you have listed. The entire building of Villa Madeira has screened in balconies, this is just how the building was designed but we do have other properties that have open balconies if that is something you would like to have during your next visit!! We have let the owners know as well about the patio furniture, we are so sorry they were not as should be for your stay. We love that you enjoyed our area and the beaches and hope to have you back for another visit soon!

The staff at Resort Rentals were, as per usual, exceptional!! The condo itself, while a little dated was clean, tidy and contained everything that was required and with a fantastic view. In reality it was impossible to find anything wrong with Villa Madeira or this condo.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unit 609 definitely needs to be updated. The air conditioning vent in the bedroom needs to be checked. The air just isn't coming through. The patio door to the bedroom is very hard to move. It really drags. Pillows in the master suite were terrible. We bought new ones and left them there. We would have taken pillows from the other bedroom, but there were no pillow cases on them. Still, we love Villa Madeira and will be back next year.

So close to all the beach communities from Clearwater Beach to Pass a grille. But still so relaxing, just the right mix. Easy walk to Johns Pass, Lisa's, Brewnette, Screwies and 7 eleven. Easy drive to Publix grocery or take beach shuttle. The complex has parking, elevator, pool and of course sits right on the beach. My unit was perfect, everything I needed and more. Great balcony and nice big shower/tub. As for the management team they were great, took 5 minutes for check in/out. Onsite maintenance man kept everything clean. All and all would definitely stay again.

We stayed at Villa Madeira for 2 weeks and loved the location. The condo was very clean and comfortable. Allocated parking was an excellent feature and everyone we met at the condo was very friendly and helpful.
The only things missing were pots with lids (I love to cook!) and a knife sharpener.
We would highly recommend Villa Madeira to anyone looking for a beach experience. We had many memorable sunsets and the sound of the waves was wonderful to fall asleep to. There were many nice features close by, including a grocery store. Museums in St. Petersburg were about 20n minutes away and well Worth the trip.

This was our third stay in Villa Madeira, second in unit 609. We plan on returning again in the fall. This is probably the best location on the beach. Only negative is the shower head in the second bathroom (needs to be replaced ASAP). The Resort Rentals staff were exceptional.

We were very happy with the location of condo and over all everything was great. The only couple things are the mattresses in twin beds were very uncomfortable for our guests, when you lay on them you can feel the springs, also, the condo only had one dish rag and two small tea towels (we purchased some dish rags). If the mattresses are replaced we would consider renting there again next winter.
